'Vintage Tin' Explodes with Color, Character
The unique oil paintings of vintage tin (old cars and trucks), like a '1939 Ford' and [Lee's] 'Pinon Wood Truck,' both exploding with color and life in a near-surreal fashion, hung among other paintings and sculptures at a three-day art show at Fryberger Art Consulting in Littleton, June 1-3, 2007.
'I'm a classic car collector,' [Reedy] said. 'It was just a matter of time until they became subject matter. They have a personality. They speak to you. Sunlight brings out different shades and colors of the faded paint, patina and rust on the vehicles. A rainbow of colors. Mother Nature does the painting for you. All you do is duplicate it.'

Reedy Art Show Features Modern Chairs Done in Oil
The Art of Sitting is an art show opening Sept. 7 at One Home Modern Furniture at 2445 E. 3rd Ave. The show includes 25 oil paintings of famous and artistic modern chairs by Lee Reedy, a resident of Centennial. The paintings are being displayed in conjunction with the chairs that inspired them.
'It's almost like a portrait of the chair, but with my interpretation of color and background,' Reedy said.
He started painting the chairs on a whim, starting with a set of 1950s-style lawn chairs. He sent the paintings to several people by email and Heather Mourer, owner of One Home, saw them and, as Reedy said, 'one thing led to another.'
