:: Oil on stretched canvas:: $2500, Gicleé availableSam Finley and Sam Moody, two Native American men on the Flathead Indian Reservation in western Montana, sit on horses on either side of a Native American woman, possibly White Brant, in front of a group of teepees on the reservation. Moody, on the left, wears a tall feather headdress, numerous beaded necklaces, large round earrings, strips of fur around his braids, and long tassels from his sleeves; he holds a rifle in his right hand. Finley, on the right, also wears fur wrapped around his braids, numerous necklaces, and a cluster of ermine fur strips from each shoulder; he holds a folded animal skin with a large feather bustle over his right arm. The woman sits on a horse between the men. Her braids are wrapped in light-colored fur, and she wears large, round earrings. Around 1905.
